About Vergence Web Design

Who are we?

Vergence is a collaboration of talented individuals experienced in computer programming, web design and internet technologies. These include custom built HTML/CSS, Adobe Flash/Actionscript, php/MySQL or ASP/MS SQL and XML.

Our programming activities also include Windows desktop applications, typically written in MS C++ or C#, including an experimental web spider, SEO tools and other utility software.

What do we do?

We provide professional web design services to individuals, home businesses and small to mid-size companies in need of a website. Where applicable, we offer hosting and email services too.

From a technical perspective, we deploy all the technologies the web has to offer to ensure the website looks good and functions well. This involves writing code by hand from scratch as required.

The range of languages and technologues deployed varies according to the website requirements. In all cases we work hard to create code that is compliant to the web standards maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is not only good practise for web browser compatibility and function but also extremely important for search engines to be able to extract the information they need.

Where do we do IT?

We're based in Cardiff, Wales. This however does not restrict us as one of the most exciting aspects of the world wide web is that it is, of course, global. Where possible we work with anyone, anywhere.

Why?

We enjoy the challenge of the internet, the technologies and the potential. In theory it provides an opportunity for even the most modest businesses to present themselves on an equal footing with the 'big players'. The world wide web is effectively the 'great leveller' and it's up to us to capitalise on this great opportunity.
